s1mple and NAVI named the best player and team of the year according to The Game Awards 2021

Sniper Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev and his NAVI roster became laureates of The Game Awards 2021. The Ukrainian esportsman was named the best player of the year, and the CIS team - the best team of the year.

This year, NAVI, led by s1mple, won many major championships, including PGL Major Stockholm 2021. The team also won the prestigious Intel Grand Slam Season 3 award.

It is worth noting that at The Game Awards 2021, the professional CS: GO scene was also nominated in the categories "Best Esports Game", "Best Coach" (Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodensky) and "Best Tournament" (PGL Major Stockholm 2021), but in each of the categories lost to the representatives of League of Legends.

Let us remind you that The Game Awards is an annual award that celebrates achievements in the computer games industry. The winners are determined by a mixed jury vote (90%) and a public fan poll (10%).
